Thank you for your generosity showing, as Husker fans, we not only support our university, and its sports teams, but we support great causes. The third Saturday in July marks the Timber Creek charity golf tournament in Panora, Iowa. The golf course, Lake Panorama, is a beautiful course that I enjoy a ton. Afterwards, I’ll be spending some hard earned money on auctioned off items that I don’t need, but is just fun to bid on and win. My team will consist of myself,... |

The show features spirited banter, preseason optimism, and light-hearted jabs at Scott Frost’s recent comments. Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images The 2025 version of the Bearcats bears minimal resemblance to last year’s edition. Season openers are always a bit of a challenge, as what might look like a good (or bad) team on paper might turn out to be just the opposite when games actually kick off. And now in the transfer portal era with so many players switching teams, it’s even more of a challenge. How do these new players fit into another program? Are teams upgrading talent or... |
Plus, Nebraska football’s 2025 Hall of Fame class has been announced We are at the midpoint of July. It feels like football is close…soon we will have news of training camp battles. Everyone is bigger, faster, and stronger. The game is slowing down for ____. This coaching staff has great chemistry. The new facility/turf/weight room/nutrition program/locker room waterslide is paying dividends already. For several years now, I have complained about having a level of ambivalence when it comes to the upcoming Husker football season. I... |
Stephen Bruce Or so the fans believe – results overwhelmingly expect at least some improvement. Also, Husker Nation is ready to give John Butler the benefit of the doubt. (This NEBRASKA REACTS Poll brought to you by FanDuel) It’s July which means we’re basically beating the same stories to death which have been flogged since spring ball ended and will continue to get whip marks until fall practice starts, unless something pops up – or pops off. Thanks, Scott Frost! (To be honest despite the... |
Photo by Dustin Satloff/Getty Images As June wrapped up, Nebraska football closed a productive month on the recruiting trail, landing eight new commits to bring its 2025 total to 11. On paper, the numbers may not jump off the page—Nebraska currently sits at No. 63 nationally and No. 17 in the Big Ten in recruiting rankings. But context, as always, matters. Portal Priorities Take Center Stage One of the biggest storylines of this cycle has been Nebraska’s clear focus on the transfer portal. The staff... |
Raymond Carlin III-Imagn Images Reporter: “Hey Scott, looking back at your time at Nebraska, what do you think you learned?” Scott Frost: “I am always learning from my successes as well as my mistakes. We were not as successful at Nebraska as I hope but my focus is now on Central Florida going forward.” The above answer is from Scott Frost in an alternate multiverse. Alas that was not the answer we got to hear from Frost this week when he was asked the same... |
Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images On this lively episode of the Five Heart Podcast, hosts Greg and Minnie dive headfirst into Husker news and fan emotions. They kick things off with the recent controversy surrounding former Nebraska head coach Scott Frost’s comment that Nebraska was “the wrong job”—a remark that fired up fans and drew sharp criticism from the hosts. They debate whether the blame lies more with Frost for his poor media presence or with clickbait journalism looking to rile up Husker Nation. The... |
Craig Strobeck-Imagn Images Welcome to this twelve-week countdown where we count the weeks until Nebraska takes on the Cincinnati Bearcats at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, August 28th. This will be my list of Nebraska football’s 12 most indispensable players. They may not be the best. They may not even end up playing this season (which would likely be bad for Nebraska). These are the players that need to step up this season for Nebraska to take that next step. Countdown Archive 12 Weeks: Punter Archie... |
